ERKAN ATALIK

GEOLOGICAL CONSULTANT

About me

Biography & Relevant Experience

I have more than forty years of experience as a Petroleum Geologist, including a diverse background and understanding of techniques from both mature basins and undeveloped areas. He has worked on both surface and subsurface facies analysis, interpretation of depositional environments, stratigraphic modeling, and reservoir characterization. He has experience   with   seismic   and   well   logs   (sequence   stratigraphy,   evaluation,   and correlation), many thousands of feet of core descriptions, and thousands of thin sections (petrography and diagenesis; thin section description, SEM and XRD analysis). Erkan is experienced particularly in sedimentology, depositional environments, facies analysis, sequence stratigraphy, and hydrocarbon accumulations in both carbonate and clastic reservoirs, with a specific knowledge of the Middle East.
